Operating Arrangemrent
1) The name of the corporation shall be " The illiana Historical Association LLC." also known as the IHA.

2) The company motto will be " To honor those before us, by reliving the past."

3) The office of the IHA shall be the home addresss of the registered agent and will remain in the state of Indiana.

4) The IHA fiscal year shall be from January 1 through December 31 each year.

5) The association shall be legally recognized as a limited liability corporation.

6) We provide an association for military vehicle enthusiasts, historians, preservationists, and collectors interested in the acquisition, restoration, preservation, battle reenactments, and public education of historic military events. Bicycles, jeeps, cars, tanks, from the days of WW1 to modern military vehicles are available and affordable to most budgets. Enjoy the camaraderie of our members who are preserving, restoring, and educating others, or just have an interest in military history.Our members take part in rallies, parades, veteran's events, battle reenactments, campouts, and more.

7)  Membersship applications shall be forwarded to the membership committee who will then review the application and be charged to either deny or accept the new membership and instruct the secretary to issue a membership card.

8) The membership minimum age accepted will be 14yrs. Members 14yrs to 18yrs will be considered junior members and are considered probationary members.

9) We reserve the right to deny membership to anyone convicted of a felony due to the nature of this hobby.

10) We will not accept any members with affiliations to any KKK, Neo Nazi, anti government, anti semetic, or any other hate groups. Membership will be terminated for such behavior without reffund.

11) If your actions are not in the best interest of the association, disruptive, abusive, overly argumentative, unlawful or overall appauling, your membership may be terminated without recourse by the membership committee.

12) You must be 18 yrs old or older to be a unit commander and must remain current with your annual dues to the IHA.

13) The association shall require each memnber to pay annual dues using the following schedule. The regular membership fee for one member and that members spouse shall be $20.00 and each additional family member $2.00 each if living under the same roof as the regular member listed. The spouse and family members shall be issued the same identification number as the regular member listed with an additional- A, B, C, ect... added to their number to note family status. Membership shall be expected to be renewed on or before the anniversary date to remain as an active member.

14) To join the IHA you must either form a unit of your own or have sponsorship from a unit already established in the IHA. This may be a vehicle unit portrayal or a reenactor unit as participations vary. Some units may only want to display vehicles, talk about restorations, form convoys, parades where as some folks are interested in participating in reenactment battles.

 15) To form a unit you may start with three to five members to qualify as a unit forming for a period not to excede two years. This would be considered a squad size unit with no officers(unless HQ portrayal).

16) To own the franchise right up to regemental level, your unit must have eight or more active members in the IHA.

17) To establish a unit in the IHA units shall submit a short statement announcing  the branch of service, nationality, name, and a short history of the unit you wish to portray. A roster shall also be submitted with the name, address, and IHA membership number of each IHA member in the unit. (if you have HRS, TSG, CHG, ect... members in your unit that is great but does not count toward franchise rights or unit forming numbers)

18) You must have membership in one of the recognized reenactment groups (or the mvpa for vehicleowners) to participate at an IHA event. We currently recognize the following organization: HRS, Federation, New TSG, TMHS, MVPA, NWHA, and CHG. Other entities should contact the CEO to be added to our list at (219) 746 - 4332.

19) Illiana Historical Association is not a national organization and our events are mostly held in the illiana region to avoid long travel times and large transportation costs.

20) There shall be three board of trustee members. Two appointed by the chairman of the board (aka the CEO) to over see the IHA and take action to ensure the safety and best interests of the organization, that no harm shall come to it. The CEO will be responsible to replace these members in the event of their retirement by appointing a new member or asking for a vote which ever the CEO decides will be in the IHA's best interest.

21) The elected offices of the IHA shall be held for two years and described as follows:

      A) The president of the IHA - To enforce and protect the operating arrangement, safety, and authenticity of the IHA. To chair meetings of the general membership. The president shall consult the board of trustees in any matter  that could affect the welfare of the IHA for a board vote. To organize, plan, and oversee events with the IHA name. To ensure that all other officers perform their assigned duties. Be available for all board meetings. To perform executive duties pertaining to the smooth running of the IHA. To be point of contact concerning public relations.
       B) The Vice President of the IHA - Shall chair all committees, shall appoint temporary committees to perform certain tasks concerning events. To report to the president on all association matters concerning  the smooth running of the IHA. Be available for all board meetings. Monitor all aspects of the safety and authenticity. Monitor all units in the IHA and keep updated listings of memership. Assist in the planning of events and work with event coordinators to ensure safe and authentic events. To be a point of contact concerning public relations. To perform as president in his/her absence.
      C) The Axis representative of the IHA - Shall come from the ranks of the axis forces to oversee the best interests of all IHA members portraying an axis impression. To act as the intial contact between axis members and the BODs concerning all things affecting the axis portrayed members. To oversee safety and authenticity of the axis members.
      D) The Allied representative of the IHA - Shall come from the ranks of the allied forces to oversee the best interests of all IHA members portraying an allied impression. To act as the intial contact between allied members and the BODs concerning all things affecting the allied portrayed members. To oversee the safety and authenticity of the allied members.

22) The appointed offices of the IHA shall be appointed by the BOD, held for two years, and described as follows:

      A) Secretary of the IHA - Shall keep the minutes of all meetings. Shall keep a roster of all memebers to compare to the vice presidents list. To ensure the issue, validation, mailing of all membership cards, keep the members dues current, and see that the treasurer has recorded membership money recieved. Be available for all meetings. Shall forward applications for approval to the membership committee. Shall assign new members a membership number. Must prepare an annual membership report.
      B) Treasurer of the IHA - Shall have charge and custody of all records concerning the financial status of the IHA. Shall report to the BOD and president a quarterly statement of finances. Will be charged to ensure that all IHA monies are deposited into the IHA checking account in a timely matter. Shall count all funds with other attending officers to verify amounts recieved. Shall issue reciepts for monies recieved. Shall record all payouts in a ledger provided by the IHA. The treasurer will have access to the online banking information of the IHA to ensure the monies are not misused. The CEO will make any and all withdrawls from the IHA account as an additional measure of financial security. The treasurer will not have the ability to withdraw funds from the IHA account. The treasurer will turn over all witnessed/counted funds to the CEO for deposit and the CEO will inturn surrender a reciept of these funds recieved for the treasurer to keep on fil. This system may seem lengthy but should stop any misappropriation of funds.

23) There should be no less than three officers in attendance to have any meeting. The IHA will have no less than two meetings annually.

24) The three BODs can vote to remove anyone from any office at any time if they have absolute proof of an officer neglecting their office, willful disrespect of the association, misappropriation of goods or funds belonging to the IHA, or flagarant disreguard of the operating arrangement of the IHA. Upon dismissal from office said officer shall have 30 days to return all funds, goods, and records in their possession to the CEO of the IHA or face possible criminal charges.

25) The registered agent shall be the CEO and the only member to have access to the IHA checking account and therefore is charged with writing all checks and authorizing all debits from said account. The registered agent will ensure all taxes are filed on time and all taxes if any are paid from the IHA checking account. Any checks returned from the bank to the IHA for insufficent funds shall be the responsibility , including any fines encountered, of the person who wrote that check and will make payment in full within 30 days to the CEO to redeposit.

26) The BOD and all officers elected or appointed shall not recieve any salaries for their office. All offices are voulentary. Officers may save reciepts to be reimbursed for the expenses encountered with planning or staging an event, office supplies,ect... and must be approved by the CEO.

27) Ballots for the four elected positions shall be the responsibility of the IHA and its officers. All voting must be a blind ballot vote. If you vote absentee by mail, seal your vote in a separate envelope so as not to be seen going into the ballot box. The voting process shall be performed as follows:  A ballot will be issued to the voter only after confirming current membership. The members name will be logged and only then will that member approach the ballot box to drop his/her blind vote.

28) A candidate mest be atleast 18yrs. of age, a member in good standing for no less than one year, and must announce his/her intention to run for a certain office no less than 90 days in advance of the voting deadline. A candidate is expected to do some sort of campaigning prior to the election.

29) Election day will be no later than December 15th or announced to be held at an event prior to that date.
 
30) All members are expected to attend atleast 3 IHA events a year to remain a member in good standing.
