1) All motor vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver, regardless of on or off road events. The driver must be knowledgeable concerning the vehicle he is operating. Any vehicle driven at an IHA event must have a ground guide to ensure safety of others who may not see the vehicle.

2) Brakes shall function on all vehicles and also the emergency brake if equipped within reason. Any vehivle that can roll away shall be blocked at no less than two wheels when parked and locked in low gear.

3) Tracked vehicles owners should keep tracks adjusted properly to avoid breakdowns and traffic jams. On the same note tires should be kept in good condition and inflated properly.

4) The steering system shall function properly and safely with minimum looseness at all joints.

5) The lighting will be functional to be used after dark or it will remain parked until daylight.

6) If the terrain is wet and muddy traffic will be kept at a minimum so that we do not have to wade thru mud, become stuck in mud with our vehicles, and so the public will not be detoured by the churned up mud.

7) An operational modern fire exstinguisher will be on board every motorized vehicle.( except motorcycles)

8) Consumption of acohol while driving or before driving any motor vehicle is forbidden and illegal and might get you arrested. No illegal drugs are tolerated at IHA events.

9) When driving on any military base at an IHA event you will abide by the base rules or be asked to leave or risk the military taking matters into their jurisdiction. (Do not enter base without proof of current insurance) Insurance card must show valid dates...trust me I know!

10) Proper basic liability insurance, at minimum, is a must have at IHA events if you are going to drive it.

11) Any reckless driving observed by the event staff will get you removed from the event first warning, 2nd warning in writing,3rd warning does not exist.... drive safely or don't come back!

12) Vehicle must be set up or copied as was originally intended for use, authenticity, and to scale. (no 41 dueces- with corvette front clips) A volkswagen bug will never be a sherman tank!

13) If you are driving a tank be mindful of the gun barrell length when making turns and plan ahead. Do not move a tracked vehicle without a ground safety guide person. Keep all people 10 feet away or more.
